A difficult problem. I have a long form that I am making longer. aprox 50-70 pages. When
I change my bottom page break, to include printing all of the new pages the drag feature stops working at about 2370-2400 lines. After I move it this far it will not work anymore. The arrow does not emerge. Is there a line limit to this feature or can excel only hadle so many pages? What's wrong help? Please!!!!!!!!!

Hi cpc,

I believe that the problem is simply that autofill is done in RAM, and when you autofill a large range of cells in one step it is possible to exceed the amount of RAM available. It could be that Excel allocates a fixed amount of memory to this so that increasing the RAM of your system will not help. But nevertheless, you should be able to get around the problem by doing the autofill in bite-sized steps because Excel copies the data from RAM to the worksheet cells when you let up on the left mouse button at the end of the fill operation. For example, autofill from rows 1 to 2000, then 2000 to 4000, 4000 to 6000, etc.

Still no success. It function simply is not available after line 2300. This actual line number changes from time to time. It is not fixed. Other ideas?

Hi again cpc,

Sorry that did not help. Have you tried deleting all the page breaks, then filling down, then re-inserting the page breaks?

Damon,

Thanks for more help, but no luck. The function on this sheet seems to stop at 2301.

Funny thing, another sheet in the same workbook goes a bit further, 2430 or so.

I don't get it. Arghhhh!!
