I have a big problem with my excel sheet.
Im trying to get some page numbering.

in my first page i have 1-7 repeating rows that show up on all my pages.
Fist problem:
Inside the first row i have a cell that will show my page number. If i write in manually it will repeat on every page.

Second problem:
If i use automatic page numbering inside the header it also cause me problem because my first page is wider than the printable area of an A4. So it will return page 2 on the right.

Does anyone have a clue how to get around this.
As far as i know there is not possible to have tables or edit the header similar to word.

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.

Sound like the first part of your worksheet is a different style of table or information. Would that be correct?

Will setting a custom print area help?

No.

Because in my sheet i have a table that expands/add new rows when hitting tab. it will push down my header if i dont have it repeating/ inside a header.

If i have it repeating or use the header it gives me the page numbering problem. =(

Re-phrasing my question:

- set up your repeating rows;
- set up a header with page numbering;
- select everything you want to print within the A4 width and click 'Set Print Area';
- will this help?

Page Number are best in the Header or Footer through the Page Settings.

When you have different layouts, they should be on separate Worksheets. Have the tabs for those worksheets in the order to be printed (Tabs left to right.)
Set up each sheet to print correct.
If All should have the same header footer, select all the sheets to edit the header/footer once. Preview the printing of each sheet separately.
Print all the sheets together by selecting the sheets (or print entire workbook) and the page numbers will continue from one worksheet to the next.

You are setting print area too wide.
Set it within the A4 width, and you will get only

Page 1/3
Page 2/3
Page 3/3
