Hi All never saw this one before.
Have a spreadsheet that is made up of 201 Rows by 208 columns. I can Hide or change column width on any of them but NOT all. If I try "all" from say column "F" trhu "GA" it won't let me hide them or shrink the column width. I get the error "Cannot shift objects off sheet". I can do some shrinking or hiding but can not do all of them? I want to be able to hide or shrink most of them so they don't have to be scrolled past to get to the more recent info in the column GY or there abouts. I can't think of what I'm not seeing? Tried to delete everything after last used column, Used ASAP to remove unused cells and reset "last cell" Not a biggie I can do a freeze and have it scrolled over to the last column but just thought it strange.

thanks

Walt

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
After deleting everything outside did you save, close and reopen?
I've had that work in the pass.

Yes want2b, It was saved and just for a laugh I tried it again with the same NG results. Just something in this sheet that I got from someone else that has this quirk. I can't see the problem. I can do the shrink columns on other spreadsheets? No clue, but thanks for trying.

WOW Seti, thats amazing. Would never have caught that. I have comments peppered throughout this spreadsheet. It seemed to allow me to hide or shrink columns with and or without comments up-to-a-point then nothing. Used the code they supplied and the spreadsheet works fine now.

Sub Test()
Dim s As Shape
On Error Resume Next
For Each s In ActiveSheet.Shapes
s.Placement = xlMoveAndSize
Next
End Sub

Live and learn

thanks
