I am trying to find a way to parse a local HTML file. I realize this is weird, but IT has crazy restrictions on our files and so I can only really work within Excel and use VBA. I know how to create a HTML file from a webpage, but I am confused on how to parse a local files that is already HTML. I looked on stackoverflow, but none of the solutions seemed to work, or I am not understanding the answer since I've only been doing any kind of coding for about 6 months.

Excel Facts

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Have you tried to bring the file into Power Query and then splitting the data.

Hi alansidman,

Thank you for the response, and this tool looks like a great way to do what I'm trying to do. I am going to try to download it now, however I may not be able to download this because of the security on my work computer. To use Power Query I need to have Power BI first is that correct? If so, is this a tool I can use for free? I saw you can try a free trial, but I've never used the software before and wasn't sure if I should try to download before knowing its limitations.

Thanks,

Markus
