I'm trying to extract the four digit year from a cell containing the following text:

08-01-2014 00:13

This is an example of a single cell of many rows of data all in the same column. I need a formula that will extract the year into the empty cell next to it on the same row. The data will always look like this and there is a single space separating the year and the time.

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.

108/01/2014 00:132014
