I used to be able to password protect my Excel workbooks in Excel 1997 by "save as" and "options". This does not appear to work on Excel 2000. Can anybody help with password protection on 2000?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
I believe it's the same as 2002, where it's under tools (at the top right corner) --> general options in the save as screen.

Try:

Thank you

Hey guess what, that works. I suppose it's a case of looking at what is in front of your nose.

Thanks for that.
