password protection

hello all

i have a workbook with seven sheets in it, i have the all sheets password protected,

can i create another sheet that tells me if sheets 1 to 7 are protected or even number 6 is unlocked????

am i being silly or just lazy

You can do all worksheets. But you could use on "BeforeClose" event in workbook module. This is for worksheet. But you can do the same with workbook.

Code:
ActiveSheet.Protect UserInterfaceOnly:=True

If you need to change something, then just add a line to change to "False". Then you don't need a password.

Or have I misunderstood?
