Paste Fraction as Text

Alright, so I'm using a pretty old version of Excel (2003 (11.8404.8405) SP3)

I am trying to take a column that is formatted as a fraction, and convert that into text. Paste Special as Values just gives me the decimal so I'm thinking there's something else I need to do. I tried formatting the column before pasting and pretty much all of the other Paste Special options (I wasn't hopeful on those working but it was worth a shot) so I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Thanks all!

Hi

Try

- Copy
- Paste values
- Paste formats

Notice that this will copy the value and keep the format. It does not convert the value to text. If that's what you want use Text()

That accomplishes exactly what a straight copy/paste accomplishes. Using Text still gives me the decimal which is not what I want. I'd like it to read 3/4 and be able to edit it as text.

To detail pgc's suggestion for TEXT() use:
=TEXT(A1," # #/##")
