Paste Special in Merge cells

Dear All,

While copying and paste special in merge cells, it shows error " Merged cells required to be idential in size"

Is there any solution ?

Sure, don't use merged cells. Use "center across selection" instead.

However in the format there is merged cells, now the format is using for more than 2 months.

Is there any way to avoid this error

Well I think the error message also helps with the solution, "Merged cells required to be idential in size".

What you could do is unmerge the cells, do your operation, and then merge the cells back. That may be the best solution...that is if you're not able to go back and unmerge your cells permanently.

sous is right, you should avoid using merged cells wherever possible.

It shouldn't take too much effort to change the cells involved.

Doing so could save a lot of time in the future as you would avoid such errors like the one you are experiencing.
