Paste Special (value) Error

Trying to move 1 line of data from ~100 excel files into one larger file.
I don't want the formulas, so a straight copy/paste isn't working.

Paste Special (Value) should work fine but is returning an error of "This operation requires merged cells to be identically sized".

There is one 'merged' cell in the row of data (two columns). This is present in both the source and destination files. I've went so far as to ensure the row height and merged column widths are identical, yet I still receive the same error.

Any ideas?

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
/bump to put it back on the first page...

Unfortunately, I can't modify the source files so I'm unable to 'unmerge' the original problem.

What exactly is excel looking for with the 'must be identically sized' error? As far as i know, they are...

Cerestes,
aaah, we don't like merged cells !!

When the sourcesheets are protected with hidden formulas, you can just do a paste. The formulas won't be copied.

other solution: cut the operation into parts and separate the merged cells from the rest: a bit more work but your PC won't explode doing that :)

kind regards,
Erik
