Using Excel 2010.
I have access to web pages which I don't control. Each page contains potentially 1000's of rows of data, each row stands on its own and is well formatted.
Each row starts with a hyperlink followed by several plain text fields. Within the hyperlink there may be a group of characters that are in italics. Looking for a way to copy/paste or otherwise import the many rows of data into Excel and retain the italic formatting.

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
I think it depends on the copy settings and restrictions placed by the sites which may not let everyone copy everything.

No I can copy everything. If I first copy the data into Word then manually remove the hyperlinks, and then coy/paste the unhyperlinked text to excel, the italics are retained and I can parse out the Italic text using a function
