Hi all,

I have a problem that is really starting to bug me, that I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me with.

Whenever I paste a graph from Excel to powerpoint, the legend in the graph moves position, slightly in the Excel workbook. Eventually, it completely distorts the graph as the legend begins to move towards the centre of the graph. Does anyone know a way of fixing the position of the legend and/or the rest of the components of an Excel graph.

Any help on this would be really appreciated. I need to hand my Excel workbook over to a novice, and whilst I can keep moving the legend back, I am not sure they will be able to do it.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Have had a look around a couple of other forums, and there doesn't seem to be a solution to this, could this just be a quirk of Excel.

I've never been that blown away with the robustness of their graphing tool, so beginning to think this may just be a bug in the system...

Do you need an Excel object in the PowerPoint slide, or would a picture of the chart be sufficient? To copy a chart as a picture, select a chart's chart area, hold SHIFT while selecting the Edit menu, and choose Copy Picture. Experiment with options until you find something you like. I usually prefer the On Screen, As Picture options.
