Pasting into Excel

When I paste in data from an online database into an excel worksheet, I get a little floating box that attaches to the worksheet as well. It looks like a little yellow box that has a 1/2 of a green paper clip in it. I can right click on it and "view script" and it pulls up the microsoft script editor and has a bunch of code or something in it. I can delete it as well but there are several of the same boxes right under it. I can move it and then it reveals another box under it. If I save the excel doc, then it is a huge file because of these things. I have no idea what they are or how to get rid of them. I'm creating a spreadsheet where pivot tables will populate from the data that I paste in daily. But it will not work when I delete the data and paste new data in. The little boxes stay no matter what...the only way to get rid of them is to delete the page. Any thoughts?

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
When you copy and paste from the website, it pulls in all the junk embedded in with the HTML. Try using Excel's external data capabilities. It should allow you to link to the online table and extract the text without the scripting.

Basically it opens a little web browser where you put the URL in and it auto selects the tables it identifies and you can choose the one you want to auto import.
