Pasting Macro

In cell A1 I have a drop down list of names. From that list I wish to select a name and then have a macro copy the data for that name to an area called edit. After the data has been edited the macro copies the data back to where it came from. The data is arranged in columns with the first row of each column being the name that appears in the drop down list. Any help gratefully received. Mark
