Pasting web page contents into Excel is very slow - how can I speed it up?

I have to pull links from a web page, and the only way to get to them is through the front door by copying and pasting into Excel. The web page I am copying from is a little dense in terms of icons and links, probably 300 images, and the same # of links. The good news is, unlike pasting into a text file, when I paste into Excel, Excel picks up the link behind the clickable text. I wrote a macro to draw out the link from behind the clickable text, but the issue is it takes 2-3 minutes for the paste to complete.

Is there a faster way to paste into Excel?

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

Perhaps you would want to post what you currently have for the code for experts out there to suggest.
