PDF date stamping / PDF whitespace

Hi,

I currently have an excel macro which cycles through a list of links to pdfs (generated through power query), opens them, pastes a copied template onto the pdf and saves it.

It works, but it isn't the most stable - I have resorted to using send keys / wait as I'm not sure about event listeners, especially when working with PDFs.
This is causing problems if it takes slightly longer to save or anything like that.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with working with adobe and could advise either any documentation/articles?

Also, maybe a bit more more complex but as it stands it pastes right into the middle of the pdf, if there is a way to read where whitespace is and paste into that specific place that would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance.
