percentages

When I format a percentage column in excel - I get a Sum of 100% - if I do it manually it totals either 99.99 or 100.03 depending on what I am adding. Is there a way to get an actual 100% answer. I am formatting percentage with 2 decimal points. An example of a column is:PERCENT

72.04%
18.03%
2.38%
1.99%
1.99%
1.11%
0.79%
0.44%
0.28%
0.20%
0.20%
0.20%
0.12%
0.12%
0.08%
0.02%
0.02%

100.00%

My numbers are in I9-I41 - the sum is in I43. I am not sophisticated so I need step by step directions!! Thanks so much -- I think this is Excel 2002 or 2003 - yeah..i know - old!
