Personal Workbook Problems

Hey all,

Excel crashed on me today at work. I honestly didn't take the time to read the entire error message, but when I re-started Excel, my personal workbook was gone, and my command button for the macros was gone! I went to the Excel start folder and the file is still there, however I have to open it each time I start Excel now, and when I tried re-building my toolbar, it still doesn't work. It opens the Macro Edit screen.

What the hell happened to my personal workbook? I think I'm Excel XP. If it is corrupt how can I restore it?

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
My file did that once. I had to resave it in the XLStart file.

Mine is located under
C: Documents and settings/Application Data/Microsoft/excel/XLStart

Hope that solves your problem.

Just as a note. I just ran into a problem with my personal macro workbook. The button's were still on my toolbar, but they kept telling me they couldn't find the personal workbook. The cause was some invalid syntax in one of my sub's, but it stopped ALL my sub's from working.
