Personal.XLSB is opened instead of New blank workbook

Hi,

ever since I added a macro to my personal workbook everytime I open excel by clicking on the excel 2010 icon the Personal.XLSB is opened instead of New blank workbook. I deleted the module but it didn't solve the problem can you please help.

When you added a macro, you possibly also unhid the workbook prior to save. It always opens when you open Excel, but usually its invisible. Hide all sheets, so you can't see anything, and save changes when you close Excel

didn't help cause I can't hide all sheets....excel tell me that at least one need to be visible

Does it open when you open another workbook as well? That was happening to me for awhile as well. When it does this go to the "view" tab and click the "hide" icon in personal.xlsb, that should keep it from showing up again. Hope this helps.
