Hello,

Recently we have been having issues with an excel file just disappearing from the network drive. IT told us it may be corrupted so I painstakingly rewrote the workbook. When making changes to a spreadsheet multiple people use, I pull a copy on to my desktop in case there are any issues. When I tried copying the file back to the network drive from my desktop, file manager is telling me the file no longer exists on my desktop (which it clearly does).

Anyone run across this issue and have a fix for it? We had used this file for years and only within the last 6 months are having all kinds of issues.

Thank you,

Rob

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
do you IT department mirror drives, it can happen when they drop one off line and use thr shadow copy, which hasn't been mirrored, I tend to have some set to sync offline

Thank you mole999. I will check with them on the drive mirroring. I believe they do.

So you are thinking the copy I have on my desktop may be from the shadow copy. I will inquire - appreciate the insight.
