Greetings,

I am trying to make a pictograph from an Excel bar chart and have run into a problem with unit "overflows" (units above the max axis) going into a new line. This is pretty rare with normal bars charts, but is fairly typical with pictographs (see image below). Is there anyway to do this in Excel? Thanks!!

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Hi, yeah this kind of pictograph is relatively easy to do, one way is to find a font that contains the symbol you want - such as wingdings etc - and use the REPT function to repeat that symbol a certain number of times.

I'm not clear if you WANT to wrap many items onto a second (or third) line, or DON'T want to do that, but if you do want to do it you can probably do it using the text wrap format setting.
