I'm currently working on some cohort analysis. Previously I had all the cohorts listed down the left of my pivot and the months since joined at the top. The first column is always 100% as all members were active in the month they joined.

The problem I now encounter is that I have broken these groups out into percentiles. Since I have done this the calculated field is returning the average rather than the sum, despite me changing the setting multiple times.

The calculated field is =ActiveUsers/TotalCohortActiveUsers. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Attached you can see the SUM equals the average rather than the sum in the Total column.

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
