I have a Pivot Chart showing the total of apples sold. The axis X in this chart has the dates (everyday).

I'm wondering if If is there any way to have a different color for the bars after a certain date.

Is this possible ? Any idea on how this could be achieved ?

thanks !

Yes, it is possible to change the color of the bars in a pivot chart after a certain date. To do this, you will need to create a conditional formatting rule that specifies the criteria for changing the color of the bars.

Here is one way to do it:

  1. In your pivot chart, right-click on one of the bars and select "Format Data Series" from the context menu.
  2. In the Format Data Series window, go to the Fill & Line tab and click on the "Fill" drop-down menu.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select "Gradient Fill". This will open the Gradient Fill options.
  4. In the Gradient Fill options, select the "Two Colors" option and choose the colors you want to use for the bars before and after the specified date.
  5. Click on the "Type" drop-down menu and select "Data Bars". This will display the data bars using the gradient fill you just selected.
  6. Next, go to the "Border" tab and click on the "Border" drop-down menu. From the menu, select "No Line". This will remove the border around the bars.
  7. Finally, click on the "Data Labels" tab and select the "Value" option. This will display the value of each bar on the chart.
After you have applied these formatting options, the bars in your pivot chart will be displayed using a gradient fill, with a different color for the bars before and after the specified date. You can then adjust the colors and other formatting options to suit your needs.
