hey there,

I have a pivot table that contain volumes, rev, and prin, rev/vol and prin/vol (the last 2 are cal'd fields)

these are column and the month are set as rows in the pivot.

my goal is to only chart one value at a time. for example, i want the first chart to show only the volumes by month, then the second chart to show rev by month etc.

when i go to the select data source of the pivot chart every thing is greyed out restricting me to deselect those values i do nto want in my chart.

any ideas for the best way to accomplish this?

hmmmm seem rather complicated to simply graph one value......great video tho. i'll have to watch that one all the way through. dashboard reporting tips are always helpful.

let me ask this, do i have to use a pivot chart to chart value form a pivot table?

I'm guessing not as I just created a chart with data from the pivot table, but without knowing exactly what you are doing it's hard to comment further. I don't know how you want to change the data within the chart.

Instead of a pivot table, could advanced filter be an option?
