Have a Pivot table that has 2 columns

First column is name of Dog (currently in Alph order)
Second column is length of time at shelter in years.

want to sort the table by the second column (high to low)

Can't seem to figure it out

Any guidance would be helpful

Thanks

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Hi yellowcabguy

Assuming Name is row and time is data, please try

Right click on first column.
Field Setings>Advanced>Autosort options>Descending, Using Field: the time column

Hope this helps

Here is what I currently display. First column is dogs name and second column is how long they are at the shelter. I am trying to sort the list on that second column so I can get the one with the longest time at the top.
