Pivot Table Auto Groupings/Subtotals

I have a data block with a column for a specific date on each record (row). Other columns are fields I wish to average or sum by that date.

When I create the pivot table, Excel automatically creates groups and subtotals by Year, Quarter and Month. I do not need these subtotals, and I can't seem to get the pivot table to simply provide subtotals by the date. Please see below:

I can't get the table to distill down to sum or average just the date from the first column.
