Pivot table average - inconsistent results

I summarised values in my pivot table as Average. However, I notice the results are inconsistent between different rows.
Picture shows the pivot table with "Average" on left and the pivot table with "Sum" on right. For Group A (green cells), the average of 0.039 in left table is the average when I select all the green cells in the right table. For Group B (peach cells), the average is 0.268. If you see the peach cells in right table, you can see all the values are more than 1.0 so how can the average be less than 1?

I'd have to assume there is more than one entry for some/all of the dates for B.

Oh, yes you're right - I checked the source data. Hmm... I'll have to open another thread for "display Pivot Table values based on formula..."
