I have a workbook that contains two pivot tables that reference a sheet from an external workbook. When I try to refresh the pivot table I get an error that says 'Cannot open pivot table source file [excelfileName.xls]Sheet1'.
The thing is, the source file is open, I wrote a macro that automatically opens it. Is there something else I have to do to get this to work?
If I go to the pivot table wizard and look at the range it is referencing it looks like this: [excelfileName.xls]Sheet1!$A:$AB. Both workbooks are in the same directory.
