Pivot Table Collapse/Expand issue

I'm having a problem with collapsing and expanding the data in my pivot table.
Currently my data is arranged by about 4 row labels:

Owner
Client
Business Unit
Project

When I collapse/expand a client field for one owner, all client fields of the same name for all the other owners collapse/expand as well. I want to only collapse that specific owner's client field. The same goes for the other row labels. Is there any way to format the pivot table to do this?

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Welcome to MrExcel.

The only way I can think of to do that would be to concatenate the four fields and use that in your pivot table.

I know this thread is over a year old but I was curious if you ever found a solution. I too find the same problem but not with new pivot tables. If I take the exact same query (I'm using a direct SQL data pull) and load it into a new file with a new data source, the problem goes away and the fields expand/collapse correctly. Normally I do the rebuild method to get it working again since I have never found a solution. It is a real pain. It seems this error typically shows up in files that I have multiple pivots loaded into them (one pivot per tab) and only after using the file multiple times with no issues. I am using Excel 2010 32-bit Version 14
