The columns of my pivot table are Department names, which are sometimes two of three words, creating very wide columns. I changed the format (alignment) of these cells so that the text is rotated 90 degrees and manually narrowed the column widths. That worked fine.
I had a request to run the pivot table for a subset of the departments. I did this using the Pivot Table's filter tool. So far so good.
The problem came up when I then filtered the table to show "All" departments. The previously "filtered out" columns returned to their original default format: with horizontal text forcing super-wide columns.
Is there any way to "permanently" change the column formatting of the entire pivot table so that it does not get fooled when going through filtering procedures and back to "all"?
Thanks,
Art
