Hi
I have a grid with names in the first column, and the columns are individual subjects eg Biology Chemistry. The cells are populated with grades. I am trying to produce a report with Subjects in column 1 and a count for each subject of the numbers of A's B's etc.
I have used countifs quite effectively in the past but have been trying to use a Pivot Table. I have been wrestling with it for a few days and can't get the set up right. Is it possible?
thanks

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Would you have some sanitized sample data to share?
Seems your data needs to be normalized: subjects in a single column. Doable with Power Query via unpivot command. Then on this table making the pivot you want should be easy.
