HI,

while creating pivot table is there any way to give the column values in data field instead of sum of values or count of values.

Please help.

hi,

In the data field that cannot be done - it is intended to work with values to be summed or counted. You can put the same field into a column or row field to achieve something like what you want (and basically put nothing in the data field) - in which case you may want to hide the unused data field column.

Hmmm, maybe that's an Excel 2007 thing (2003 allows an empty pivot table). Just put in any old value and see if you can take it out after you create the table...or hide those rows with the "dummy data".
