Hi All,

I am trying to streamline some reporting at work by having one data source reference as opposed to several.

I realise I can make pivot tables using an external connection, the problem is the data source is locked when a report is open.

How do I make the connection the data source read only so I can edit the data source?

Thanks :)

Guys please help, all i want to do is be able to access the external data source spreadsheet even when the pivot table is open on someone elses computer.
