Pivot Table Grouping Query

I wonder if anyone can help me with a pivot table query?

I have created a pivot table that contains 3 years worth of data and I'd like to be able to group this data, in 12 monthly batches, from the data of the first transaction.

I have tried using the grouping tool for months and years but this does not give me the information I want, as it groups all months together or all yearly transactions.

Is there a way of getting around this problem?

Thank you for your help.

Julian

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Have you tried editing the source data and extracting a year field and refreshing your data to update the new data source to further sort your data?

Hi, Julian

Does grouping on BOTH years & months do what you want?

If not, please clarify the requirement with some further description.

Thank you
