Pivot Table Help required

I have the whole data monthwise for 3 years. On analysing it through pivottable. when i insert month on rows, it arranges the data as follows
apr -03 aug -03 dec -03 (that is alphabetically)
instead of
apr -03 may -03 jun -03
can you help me in rectifying this problem

More than likely your dates are formatted as text. Therefore Excel does not recognize the date sequence you would like and alphabetizes the text.

Check the formatting of your dates and change them to a date format by selecting them and going to Excel menu selecting "Format" then "Cells..." then "Number" tab then select "Date" and pick format you would like.
