I am running excel 2013 on a PC.

I built a tracker spreadsheet and formatted it into a table. Example:

Product_NumTeam1_InTeam1_OutTeam2_InTeam2_Out
12348/3/208/5/208/7/208/10/20
67899/2/209/4/409/6/20
65389/15/209/17/20

The problem is when I insert a pivot table, the empty cells seem to be removing the grouping on the pivot tables, so that all the Januarys are combined, instead of it being grouped by years and then months.

Is there a work-around?

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Expected result?

I have hidden columns in the worksheet that calculate the number of work days in each team. I have a it set to a 0 if there is no date in the IN column, or TODAY minus the in_date otherwise. The pivot table summarizes the average days of each product by team.
