I have a pivot table with Plant, Supplier and Dock Code. The row is the plant and shows all the suppliers with all their total weights. The plant doesn't extend down though so I cannot do a VLOOKUP off of the data by the plants

Data
PLANT SUPPLIER DOCKCDE Sum of DAILY WEIGHT
Plant A Supplier 1 Dock 1 100
Supplier 2 Dock 2 200
Supplier 3 Dock 1 300
Plant B Supplier 4 Dock 1 250
Supplier 1 Dock 2 350

Is there any easy formula to add to the left of the Pivot Table to extend the PLANT down to fill in all the blanks for Plant A, Plant B, etc???

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
As far as I'm aware you can't fill in the blanks in a pivot table.

Instead of using VLOOKUP you should use GETPIVOTDATA to get data from pivot tables.

This doesn;t work when I need to concatenate 3 separete field headings such as Plant, Supplier and Dock Code to Vlookup off off. I know there is a formula that you can enter to the left of the Pivot Table that looks at the first row header, such as plant, and shows the plant. The next cell below it would look at the row heading and see nothing, since the Plant was already used the first time, and give you a blank but this formula would look for the last filled in plant. I cannot seem to remember this formula though.

Could it be GETPIVOTDATA?

That function is intended to extract data from pivot tables.

Can you post the raw data?
