My data consists of a listing of magazine articles, the dates they were submitted, the dates they were published, and a calculation of the elapsed time between the dates:

Article-----Mag Title---Publisher---Submission Date---Pub Date--Time
1----------Sprockets-----ABC-------1/1/05--------------2/15/05------6
2----------Sprockets-----ABC------1/15/05--------------2/15/05------4
3----------Widget News--DEF-------1/15/05------------3/15/05------8
etc...

I created a pivot table that subtotals each Publisher & Title, the Pub Date, and the average time:

ABC------Title----------Pub Date------Avg weeks
---------Sprockets------ 2/15/05----------5
---------Gadgets --------2/15/05----------7
--Total ABC ----------- 2/15/05----------6

DEF
etc...

My question is: In the pivot table, the total row for each publisher shows a total for "Pub Date" which doesn't really make sense. I can't figure out how to show the pub date for each publication and not show it on the publisher total line.

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
So can I assume since no one replied that this cannot be done?

Any ideas how to accomplish this by some means other than a pivot table?
