Pivot table possibilities

Hi!

When creating a pivot table (with wizard) and using external database as the source in one of the steps i can filter (set conditions) on the data.

Can this be done also when:
1) using simple data range as the source (i accept also a VBA solution)
2) using another pivot table as the source (i accept also a VBA solution)
