Pivot table refresh

How do I get the drop down menu inside a pivot table to refresh? I still get choices of data to select that are no longer in the workbook, but have been used in the pivot table in the past.

Let me clarify...the data is not showing inside the pivot table itself, just inside the down arrow selection.

When you refresh the pivot table the menus should automatically change also.

A PivotTable field's dropdown list displays all values (the domain) for a given field.

This is the same issue I am having. All of the test data used when I created a PivotTable has been copied to my template. Now I want to clean up the template drop down but I am unable to. Is cleaning up the dropdown really a lost cause?

You'll have to re-create your PivotTable.
