Pivot Table Showing Dates Outside Date Range

Hello all. I've come here periodically to find answers to Excel problems, but can't seem to find an answer to an issue I'm having now. So I set up an account to ask myself.

I've tried searching and playing around with this, but can't seem to find a solution. When I create a pivot table from a list of dates, the pivot table filter includes an option for less than my lowest date and more than my highest date. Obviously there is no data in those 2 filters. The problem with that is that they are showing up in some slicers that I set up and are messing up some graphs that are based on those slicers.

Is there any way to remove those options?

Thanks for the help.

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.

Here's an image that might help show what I mean.

You can't remove them, but you can hide them on your charts using filters.

Thanks for the response! I have tried filtering them out, but then, they still show up in slicers, so when someone clears the selection, the filter is removed.

Is there any way to resolve this?

Add a year column to the source data instead of grouping in the pivot table. Then you won't have that issue.
