I use a pivot table to summarise all sales made by account managers.

Column A - A/c Manager
Column B - Contract Numbers
Column C - Business Line
Column D - Value

I want to look at the consolidated sales by AM, however I would like this to run in descending order in terms of the total value sold by each AM. Problem is I haven't a clue how to get the pivot table to sort the data in that way. I can get it to sort by AM, Line of business, contract but not value.

What am I missing or doing wrong?

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
In the Pivot wizard (in Layout) double click on the item you want to sort by (in the row field) and click advanced, in the autosort options select Ascending/Descending and change the drop down in Using field.
