How do get the pivot table to show the subtotal only for each branch and not for every line ?

Appreciate all the help.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Is this how you wanted the pivot table to be shown ?

Row Labels Sum of Stamping Amount Sum of Loan Amount
Chicago 122 700
Houston 180 400
New York 99 800
Texas 650 200
Grand Total 1051 2100

If yes : pick and drop "Branch" Under "Row Lables", then "stamping amount" and "Loan Amount" Under "Values" in the Pivot table field list.

Right Click on the items you don't want subtotaled and un-check the subtotal.
Conversely, turn off subtotals, then right click a State value and select subtotal...
