Pivot Table Variance in Share of Total

If I have two columns in a pivot table, each reflecting respective share of total numbers (this year vs last year), is there a way to calculate within the pivot table the difference between the two share columns? If I construct a formula to calculate the difference between the two, it bases the difference on the underlying values, not the share numbers.
