Mr. Excel,
I have a pivot table with a Date field (I use the Month) and a Type field in the column of the Pivot table . If I have type first in the column and then Date field Excel displays everything fine.
If I reverse the order, Excel does NOT display the value of the Type field & combines the data for both fields. I did a test with two text fields and Excel handled those fine so it appears the Date
has to be the last field in the column of a multi column report. This seems to be unusual ....Is this a bug?
Example
DATE AS LAST FIELD IN COLUMN
Male Female
Dept Jan Feb Jan Feb
A 1 1
B 1 1 1
DATE AS FIRST FIELD IN PIVOT COLUMN
'
Jan Feb
Dept
A 1 1
B 2 1
