Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what is a pivot table and how can it be used.
If an example could be provided that would be very helpful so that I can try it immediately on my end.

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Errr, have you done any searching on the web at all? Or looked at the Microsoft site? Or read the help files? Is this a homework project by any chance?

And have you looked at the Help? Someone went to a lot of trouble to write the Help, especially "PivotTables: Analyzing data interactively" in Excel ( Excel 97 in my case ), and I doubt I'd be able to tell you anything as well as that. And there are all the things on the web too, especially the Microsoft site, such as "Demo: Make sense of your data using PivotTable reports".
