Pivot Tables - Calculated Fields

Hi All!

When I create a calculated field in a pivot tablr, it always works the sum out wrong.

E.G =

16 * 100 is 1600....but the pivot says its 229212!!

It does it with all the fields...they are formated for number, so what am i doing wrong!
 

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Could you possibly post a sample of your data?
