Hi again,
So i'm trying to avoid having to update 3 different sets of pivot tables just because they have 3 different data sets...
i have searched and tried to control (manipulate) all of them with a couple of slicers (considering that i only need 4 different slicers, Current date, date range, campaign and sub-campaign)
now... the problem lies here
Datasheet 1 (worksheet1) has the following columns (e.g.)
Campaign, Sub-campain, date, slice, data1, data2, data3, etc...
Datasheet 2 (worksheet2) Contains:
Campaign, Sub-campain, date, slice, other33, other84, other54, etc...
and Datasheet 3 (worksheet3) contains
Campaign, Sub-campain, date, slice, stuff9, stuff5, stuff8, etc...
Is it possible to create 3 named ranges for these datasheets (data, other, stuff) and create various pivots from these even though they only share about 3-4 identical columns?
That way i can create as many pivots as i need (about 9) and control at lease the current date and date range with a single slicer.
or maybe you have an entirely different approach to this that you might want to share
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanx in advance
