Is it possible to have values instead of summaries in Data area of a pivot table if there is only 1 corresponding value?

My data has columns with Y/N responses from clients and first column is the year.
Based on the year, i want to know response for each client for each column. Now although there would always be just 1 value but I am unable to get text values showing.

Any thoughts?

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
You cannot have text values returned in a pivot table. If you can convert the Y to 1 and N to 0, then you could use the pivot table by applying a custom number format to display "Y" for positive numbers and "N" for zeroes.
