I have two pivot tables and corresponding pivot charts off of one set of data. When I try to change the data source on any of these, the changes don't stick - they always reset back to the original range. For example, data source is "Data!$A$1:$G$1222", when I change to Data!$A$1:$G$99999, it goes right back to Data!$A$1:$G$1222. Any suggestions on how to get the changes to stick? I've also tried pasting more data into the range before changing the data source, in case the issue was me selecting rows with no data, but there was no change - data source kept reverting.
Thank you for any help!

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
When your table is formated as table you can use the tablename as datasource.
